CouncilManukau City Council

The Manukau City Council has been our biggest supporter since 2002, providing us with substantial and vital financial assistance. The funds go towards operational costs such as wages, insurance, instrument maintenance, music and general expenses. Generally it can be very difficult to get this type of funding and without this much of what the society does would not be possible.

Wiri TrustWiri Licensing Trust

The Wiri Licensing Trust have supported the orchestra since 2002 with grants for instruments and music through various Charitable Trusts they work with. In 2006 and 2008 we received support towards our operational costs directly from the trust.

COGSCOGS (Community Organisations Grant Scheme)

This is a grant scheme operated by the Department of Internal Affairs and since 2008 we have been fortunate to receive funds towards wage expenses.

KedgleyKedgley Intermediate School

Kedgley Intermediate School is a strong supporter of the orchestra providing premises for rehearsal and storage space for instruments, since 2000. A strong association also exists with the Kedgley Music Centre which is based at the school.

Pakuranga CollegePakuranga College

Pakuranga College provides rehearsal space crucial to the operation of the orchestra, since 2009. They also help with recruitment of new players into the senior orchestra.

Other Supporters

In the very early days Creative Communities Manukau City NZ helped get us started by providing funding required to put on a concert. In later years we received a substantial grant from Sky City Community Trust for instruments and then an even larger grant from ASB Community Trusts.
